Variations On A Lakota Theme - Summer Solstice 2022 Sneak Peek

from El Camino Rojo - The Path to Infinity by Crowyote

about

This is the audio from my first performance of "Variations On A Lakota Theme," which I debuted on my Facebook Live stream on the morning of the Summer Solstice. This song is a Wakan Olowan, meaning a sacred song performed at the Lakota Sundance ceremony. I learned this song from the foundinhg memberts of Lone Star Drum at ceremonies in Rosser, TX and from the elder medicine man of the Rosebud Rez Chief Leonard Crowdog. I've sung it everyday since my early days learning the path of the Red Road in my 20s whether in meditation or in moment of natural appreciation.
